The Pistol House will be reopen this Friday 11/24/2023. There was an issue that was brought to our attention with the steel targets causing some unintended issues. For now, the Safety Committee has decided that the steel will be removed. Please absolutely no shooting of any steel at the Pistol House until this issue has been taken care of. With this being said, it is asked that anyone who uses the Pistol House supply your own targets that are built to the Club's standards (addressed during every orientation).
Most importantly, it is now being mandated that any stands brought to the Pistol House must be a minimum of 4ft off the ground away from the pole laying on the ground in front of the supplied stand holder, I.E. from the base of your target attaching area there must be 4ft of open unobstructed space (other than the posts that sit in the designated stand post spots), below where you intend to shoot. If you are unable to bring your own target stands, keys are still being sold to have access to the Club supplied target stands in shed B. If any person is found to be shooting at steel or just into the berm with no target set up will have their privileges at the Pistol House revoked and will be brought before the Board of Directors who will decide on a punishment fitting of the offense.
Lastly when shooting from inside the Pistol House through the windows, there are now numbers on the base of the berm indicating the lane in which you are allowed to shoot, do not deviate from the numbers placed in accordance to the window you reside at. Anyone shooting from outside there is a "no shoot" zone on the left-hand side of the range no targets should be placed beyond that point and no rounds should go beyond the berm (all rounds should be absorbed by the berm). These decisions come directly from the Safety Committee and shall be followed as such until all problems are resolved accordingly. We thank you for your understanding and compliance.
