In support of Hamilton’s mission to educate the membership on the safe use of firearms, the Hamilton Rifle Committee is happy to announce the 2026 season of Downrange Training (DRT). DRT is a member-only program held on the 4th Friday of the month from April – October. Each session will focus on a specific firearms platform and will be led by certified instructors. The program will start at 5:30PM at the Rifle Range ( rain or shine ) and the cost is $10.00 to cover the expenses of the shoot. Members are encouraged to bring their own firearms, but a limited amount of loaner firearms will be available for folks that do not possess the platform that is being covered.
We will start off the year with a gear check on Friday April 24th from 1730 - dusk. Please bring any rifles, pistols and/or shotguns you intend on using for the training season along with a small amount of ammo for each. We will test everything out and prep for the remainder of the season. Lastly, we will discuss the training schedule for the year so come with ideas and/or suggestions.
Please note – All participants will be required to provide a valid MA-LTC and your HRGC Member # on the first night of attendance. Must sign a waiver on the first night you participate.
