Pistol Range Work Party Saturday 3/29 9AM

Pistol range will be hosting a work party this Saturday 3/29 at 9AM to rebuild existing target stands, measure the new sand area, and build new target stands. Please let the Pistol Chair know if you are able and willing to come and what supplies you can bring from the following list. We are in need of cordless drills, cordless drivers, circular saw, 100ft tape measure, standard tape measure, and staple guns. We all appreciate any time and work you are able to put in to helping with this project. Please bring gloves and safety glasses with you.

The pistol range will be closed during this work party, we're predicting it should only take an hour or so. The more people that show up the faster we will be back up and running!

We have installed a key card access on Shed B to access Target Stands!

First and foremost, we'd like to thank Mark Corriveau for installing the new RFID reader on Pistol Shed B. With this new system, Pistol will still be selling access to the shed for the target program and we will be able to easily manage the pistol shed access electronically. This will be an effective way to enable your key card to enter the pistol house and now the target shed. We also added all the people who have already paid into the key card access for shed B. If  you have issues getting into the shed, please send Zach Martins, Pistol Co-Chair, a message and he will address the issue.

The pistol range will re-open Monday 11/4. Please note that steel is back in use and is only to be used in the middle and right side of the berm when facing away from the pistol house. Please do not remove the steel from its current location unless you are looking to shoot paper on the right side of the berm unobstructed. If the steel is moved, please place it back where it was originally.

We please ask everyone be respectful of all the work done as a lot of effort went in to fixing the pistol range from a multitude of people.

Thank you all for your patience and understanding while the range was closed. Happy shooting!

We would like to thank everyone who participated in the Rifle Range work parties on 6/6, 6/8, and 6/9.  We had 22 individuals and a total of 116 work hours over the 3 days.

Some important information regarding the new reconfiguration of the Rifle Range -

    • New target rails were installed at the 150, 200, and 250 yard positions.
    • Berms 1 and 2 were dug out, rear of the range cleaned up, brush cut, and some debris removed.
    • The 150 yard position requires a much taller target stand due to the location of the berms.
    • Please refrain from shooting the rails and/or shot blockers for the rails.
    • Position the targets accordingly.  Please position steel targets away from the rails in a spot where the berm is present and rail is not.
